Local churches to host free community Thanksgiving dinners

St. Mary's Church in Alexandria will host its annual free community Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, November 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mary's School in the gym, 421 Hawthorne Street.

This dinner is a community event; everyone is welcome. Rainbow Rider is available for transportation at no charge. There is a free meal delivery program for the homebound.

Pies are needed and can be brought to St. Mary's school cafeteria Wednesday, November 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. or Thursday, November 22 before 10 a.m.

A free community Thanksgiving dinner will be served at the First Presbyterian Church fellowship hall in Osakis on Thursday, November 22 at noon.

All ages are welcome at no charge, but donations will be accepted for local food shelves. The traditional holiday menu will be served. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are appreciated.
