Margareth A. Anderson, 73, of Frazee, died Monday, September 3, 2007 at St. Mary's Regional Health Center in Detroit Lakes, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Margareth Ann Hoch was born to Severin and Anna (Riemers) Hoch on Oct. 10, 1933 in Millville, Minn., where she was raised. She attended school and graduated in Eyota, Minn. Margareth worked at a clothing store in Rochester, Minn., and also as a secretary for 10 years at the Rochester Police Department.
In 1957, Margareth married Jerry Anderson in Rochester. They owned and operated Tri-State Tire in Rochester. She worked for Leitzen and Concrete in Rochester for 22 years, until she retired and moved to Frazee.
Margareth enjoyed spending time with her family, especially fishing with her son-in-law and granddaughter. She had been a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority since 1969.
Surviving Margareth are her daughter, Tracy (Scott) Donahue of Frazee; one granddaughter; and former husband, Jerry Anderson of Seattle, Wash. She will also be missed by her three pugs, Buster Brown, Billy Brown, and Charlie Brown. Her parents, Severin and Anna Hoch, preceded her in death.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee, with the Rev. William Aufdenkamp officiating. There will be visitation for one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
