Man ejected from vehicle, dies in one-vehicle crash in southeastern South Dakota

TYNDALL, S.D. — A 60-year-old male died in a one-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, Feb. 2, in Bon Homme County.

The name of the person is not being released pending notification of family, according to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. The crash occurred at 1:12 a.m. 3 miles south of Tyndall on Highway 37.

The man was driving a 1994 Chevy 1500 pickup north on Highway 37 when it went into the east ditch and rolled. The man was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was the only person involved.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
