Twin Cities could see up to 12 inches of snow this week
MINNEAPOLIS — Up to a foot of snow could fall in the Twin Cities starting Friday, Jan. 17, according to the National Weather Service.
The winter storm is expected to drop 8 to 12 inches in the metro Friday and Saturday. Gusty winds could also bring blowing snow.
That will be on top of whatever falls Wednesday, when it’s expected the metro will get a trace to 2 inches of snow, the weather service says.
