Prior to becoming a sergeant with the Itasca County Sheriffs Office, Kris Miller was a hockey defenseman. Miller was awarded Mr. Hockey while playing in high school with the Greenway Raiders in 1987, played college hockey with the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs and played professional hockey for over a decade before becoming a law enforcement officer.
