AMHERST, Wis.—A farmer in eastern Wisconsin has died after being overcome by deadly fumes from a manure holding tank on his farm.. The Portage County coroner said Wednesday that Michael Biadasz, 29, was found dead Monday along with at least 13 cows at Biadasz Farms near Amherst, which is about 140 miles northwest of Milwaukee.. WAOW-TV reported the farmer was found by other workers who arrived to haul away manure from the huge tank. Coroner Scott Rifleman said Biadasz was overcome by methane or sulfur oxide gas.

It was around 3 a.m. Sunday when Bryan Good was alerted that his downtown Grand Forks house was on fire. “I had guys beating on the outside of the house, yelling,” he said. “They woke me up … yelled, ‘You’re on fire.’ So I just got my family out.” The fire at 217 N. 6th St. is one of several that occurred early Sunday morning considered suspicious by Grand Forks police. The others involved debris in the alleyway in the 300 block of North Sixth Street and a Dumpster in the alleyway in the 200 block of North Sixth Street.
BISMARCK — North Dakota Secretary of State Al Jaeger on Friday released the numbering of five measures that will be put to a statewide vote on the Nov. 8 general election ballot.
